Trey Supak - MILW prospect Garrett Richards - SP (2017) $300,000 Brady Aiken - CLE prospect Evan Longoria - 3B (2016) $4,500,000
FOR
Jesse Hahn - SP (2019) $300,000 Matt Moore (TB - SP) $1,000,000 (2016) (2017X) (2018X) (2019X) Jedd Gyorko - 2B/SS (2018) $300,000 Michael Lorenzen - SP (2020) $300,000 2016 2nd Rd Pick 2017 1st Rd Pick Dispersal Pick this draft (2016) David Hernandez - RP (2017) $750,000
Halos accept. Looking to add SP depth, INF depth as I believe Gyorko will play all the INF positions for STL. The picks help offset the loss of Aiken and Supak, whom I believe in a bunch.

I misstated the Gyorko contract. It is (2018).

Rays agree. Reallyexcited about the two young pitchers. Also I get a solid 3b which I need. Richards will help in the rotation also. I traded some picks, but with these pitchers I like my farm system enough to do that.

Rays and Angels:
The contract for Matt Moore is listed wrong. It includes multiple options:
3) Matt Moore (TB - SP) $1,000,000 (2016) (2017X) (2018X) (2019X)
Are you both still fine with the deal after knowing this?

These are hard to just glance at. lol. All players and contracts now check out with Moore's options being included. As for the trade I'm seeing this:
Angels trade:
Trey Supak - not taken in our 3 round draft here but take by Pirates in 2nd round real-life (traded here to Angels) Garrett Richards - SP with 2 years left on $300k contract. Brady Aiken - taken by Angels here in 2015 Rd #1 pick #18 Evan Longoria - 1 year left on $4.5M contract (will need resigned)
Rays trade:
Jesse Hahn - SP - 4 years left on minimum $300k contract Matt Moore - SP - with options, 4 years left on $1M contract Jedd Gyorko - 2B/SS - 3 years at minimum. Michael Lorenzen - SP - 5 years of minimum contract. 2016 2nd Rd Pick - will be pick #19. 2017 1st Rd Pick - unknown pick number Dispersal Pick this draft (2016) - will be pick #19. David Hernandez - RP (2017) $750,000 - possible closer
Will have to study this and vote later.

I believe Aiken and supak both possess Ace level skills. Don't forget that Aiken was a number 1 overall pick previously.
To be honest I have little faith in Moore. Maybe he will get it together, but he wasn't going to be in my rotation.
Hahn was tough to trade, but I think Richards is actually more reliable and the contracts are similar.
Gyorko just signed a deal in STL that means he will be a platoon guy at three positions. While this is valuable, he may be hard to control and count on at times.
Hernandez is older and I already have wade Davis and Huston street as closers so I can afford to move him to strengthen elsewhere.
And the picks, as I said, are dispensable to me because I really like what I have in my system after this trade. I think supak and Aiken are easily worth a 1st and 2nd rd picks plus a dispersal.

Was still thinking here. lol. Speaking of Wade Davis, you'll need to re-add his contract options on your current roster.
Was really worried a bit about all of the shorter contracts you're acquiring. Tyson Ross' 2016 was a recent example. Add Longoria's 2016 and Richards' 2017 to it, you only will have 1 resign spot open the next 2 years for 3 possible players.

This is a crazy trade to try and evaluate. I think I'm going to approve, but the years on these contracts make it seem really lopsided. But this is the kind of trade I've done myself a few times, consolidating assets I don't believe in, into ones I like more. This is roughly how I think I'd break it down.
Supak -for- Hernandez Richards -for- Hahn + Moore + dispersal pick Aiken -for- 2017 1st rd pick + 2016 2nd rd pick Longoria -for- Gyorko + Lorenzen
I think Richards is legit, he's a #2 at least. If he gets back down around mid 2's ERA, he's an ace, if he stays in the 3 range, he's a #2. And he's more proven. I'm not high on Moore either but has some good seasons, Hahn has lots of upside if unproven.
Aiken is still recovering from TJ so definitely some risk, but he's also extremely talented and has legit ace upside, so a couple picks seems about right.
Longoria has only one year left but possible re-sign and could be flipped for more. Lorenzen has been solid in the minors, rough start in the MLB but really young with upside and Gyorko seems like he's going to be filling in all over without a consistent starting gig.
I don't think Supak has ace potential personally, but he is a 2nd rounder and very young so there's plenty of time for him to work it out. So a couple years of Hernandez seems ok. Hernandez has plenty of competition for the closer role with Bailey and Mujica around. So likely ends up a mid-bullpen arm IMO which doesn't hold a lot of value in this league. He'll have to get saves or holds to be of value, and I'm not sure he will.
I think it's a slight overpay for each asset, but it could go either way in a year or two depending how some of these guys pan out. That was very lengthy. But approval #1 from me.

CWS--I agree very much with your overall breakdown and it is in fact similar to my own breakdown. And your statement about consolidating assets that I don't have high confidence in in exchange for some prospects and even a couple really solid starters in Longoria and Richards made the deal for me.

I can see what both teams are doing here, even if I wouldn't do this trade personally. Also, it seems like I value Moore more than other TAB members.
Approval #2.

Ugh, I wrote a write up for the trade, but it got deleted and I really don't want to write it again right now. I'll write it later if anyone wants, but the basic gist is that the Rays are acquiring some solid players, though admittedly at a relatively high cost. Overall, I think it's a fair price to pay
