With all the uncertainty surrounding Wheeler, I don't think he's more than a B-. For those two, Rays is sending a guy with a lot of potential, but a lot of risk with Brady Aiken; I'll give him a B. I feel very similarly with Acuna, but without the shine of being a former 1.1, so I'll give him a B-/B. Minter looks like a solid minor league reliever, so I'll give him a C+. Funkhouser used to have more shine, but he still looks ok, so I'll give him a C+. Sanchez put up some nice stats, but he doesn't seem as polished as Acuna, so I'll give him a B-/C+. Padilla had some decent numbers, but nothing that should impress as someone drafted in the lower rounds. I think he's a C. Same thing goes for Mastrobuoni and Haley. Those three guys together are probably C+/C value So, does a B, B-/B, B-/C+ and 2 C+'s and a C+/C equal to a B+ and two B-'s? From my analysis, they are almost exactly even. To me, the B+ equals the B, 1 C+ and the C+/C, one of the B-'s equals the B-/C+ and the other C+, leaving the other B- to equal the B-/B. It's very slightly uneven, but considering the complexity of the trade and the difference of opinions that I'm sure many people have on the pieces, it falls very reasonably within the margin of error. I must say that with as many pieces involved with this trade, I am impressed that Angels and Rays were able to make as even of a trade as they did Approved 1-0 |

That's a solid prospect package for Fulmer and Wheeler; both are legit when healthy.
