Re-signing Rule (New)
As your players' contracts expire, you will have a chance to re-sign them. Every off-season, you can re-sign your expiring contracts.
There are limitations: *You may only have 4 resigned players on your roster at any given time, and these players are not tradeable for 1-Year (NTC) after being re-signed *You may only re-sign 2 players in any year. *When you trade a player, their tag transfers to the new team so that team must have an open re-sign spot. *Waiving a Re-Sign comes with a 50% cap hit and the re-sign tag remains. You may not waive a re-signed player, if you wish to demote them it must be done via Waiver Pass. *All Re-Signs must be for at least 3 years (but not greater than 4-yr or 5-yrs).
To re-sign a player, you must make the player an offer in the player resigns forum.
You may offer the player what you want, but there is one thing to remember: Pay cuts ARE allowed. For anybody over the age of 35, a pay raise would require good reason, as would a pay raise for somebody who struggled the previous year.
Players must be FA's, if they have an option year and you decline the option they are not eligible to be re-signed, they go into the FA pool and are free to be bid on.
Only players who have completed their contract can be re-signed. You can not restructure someone’s deal and call it re-signing. When trading a re-sign the tag transfers and the team acquiring must have an open re-sign spot.
Process
You will submit a contract much like you do trades, you will post the players current salary then the contract you’re offering him.
You get 3 chances to re-sign a guy, after that, he goes into Free Agency.

Since its come up in talks a lot of the early re-signs are outdated we were a young league and have since changed our re-sign rule making a lot of what happened in 2012 and 2013 a bit irrelevant the re-signs GMs should concentrate on are the ones that are listed on this board (2014, 2015, 2016 and now 2017).
