I know the rule states that 2X skipped picks get an auto-pick, but what happens if the pick 3.26 never picks? I think that since everyone else is on a short clock, that 12 additional hours after the final pick is "skipped" is fair.
Also, this year, the Rangers asked not to be skipped, so he is effectively just sitting on a pick with no timer. I believe that in such cases (or cases where someone with pick 3.25 has been 1X skipped), the draft should close 12 hours after the final pick is made (or after the 12 hour clock expires on pick 3.26). And auto-picks should be made at that time in order for however many people have not picked.
I know that the DD has a week long period before it ends, however that is a much more casual draft and much more low stakes, with more owners getting skipped regularly. And not as much added info can be added by waiting a week on DD elig players as can be added by waiting on FYPD elig players (some with very little pro data).
So again, my suggestion is now that the 3.26 pick has been made, we close the draft in 12 hours, and any looming picks should get auto-picked at that time. This is just my suggestion, but I think some type of rule needs to be in place, otherwise we are sitting in limbo forever potentially.

I agree. I’ve always disliked getting extra time after the draft. These players are playing so it’s extra scouting time and time to see if a guy gets hurt, etc...
