The Halos would like to re-sign Jorge Soler. This re-sign is complicated by my initial sign as he came over from Cuba and sat in my minors as he played up to the MLB club. He has been good in spurts, but I believe in his talent. I hope to have him hit his stride on my squad.
Initial contract: Jorge Soler - RF - $5,000,000 (2015)
Resign offer: 5 years @ $3,000,000 Jorge Soler - RF - $3,000,000 (2020)

While Soler is a hard guy to gauge I can not justify him getting less money than his initial contract. He is still only 23 with plenty of upside.

This one is really hard to gauge since his original $5M contract was while he was still in the minors. Because of how he was signed by IRL Cubs he was an FA back in 2012. That said, I agree with Rockies, the track record, pedigree, and upside are all still there at only 23 years old and this should be his first year with the RF job locked down. So I can't see signing him for less than he was making either. He doesn't have much MLB track record yet, so hard to compare him to other OF re-signs, but if he hit FA he would likely get 2-3x this contract.

Yeah, Soler still definitely has upside and I definitely feel he could use $1-2M more
