Not sure what to make of the fact that you guys vetoed it for being too high.
In that case I'll stick with the shorter 3 year deal and do the 6.5 salary which was tops for the closer position in league history.

$10M was too much for reasons stated before, don't want to throw the whole closer market out of whack. Ace SP's are going for around $10-12M, I can't see see a closer being worth as much, even if he is the best one. But I'm still looking for around $8m/yr if sticking to 3 years. The $6.5M comp of Robertson was a 5 year deal, and he wasn't quite at Chapman's otherworldly level. So still looking for about $8m/yr.
