Last Contact: $419,000 (2015)
First Offer: 4 Years @ X $9,250,000
Second Offer: 4 years @ X $10,000,000
$10,000,000 (2016 NTC) (2019)
Can't go any higher than this. I don't believe a pitcher with one good year demands top dollar like Strasburg ($11.5M) , Price ($11.5M) , Lester ($10.5M) , Felix ($12M) , Darivsh ($12.5M) , Kershaw ($14M) and Scherzer ($12M). All of these guys have a proven track record so you know what your getting.

$10M is the lowest I would value him, but acceptable. He's had more than one good year and has been pitching at ace level for two years now. Took him a little longer to figure it out since his top 100 spec days, but that has the benefit that he also has half the innings on his arm as guys like Cueto at the same age, so there's not a lot of risk here IMO. $10M seems a good compromise between other ace re-signs of guys with a longer MLB track record.
