Dodgers wish to waive Prince Fielder*, Tex DH 11M (2017) ReSign with the intention of releasing him as he has retired based on medical necessity.
He is a ReSign so I will still have that tag next year as well as a 50% CAP penalty for 2016 and 2017.

As a re-signed player he can not be bought out until the off-season nor can he be exposed to waivers.
I thought it was listed in the rules not sure where it went but that is the rule and will be added as that is what we have enforced in the past.

"Any player except Franchised players can be put on waivers."
