I compared Seager to the David Wright's signing in 2014 where he signed for 5 years at $10,000,000 - I based it off the previous 2 years before players signed
Wright
2012 Avg 306 HR 21 93 RBI OBP 391 SLG 492 OPS 883 - 156 Games Age 29 -
2013 Avg 307 HR 18 58 RBI OBP 390 SLG 514 OPS 904 - 112 Games Age 30
Seager
2015 Avg 266 HR 26 74 RBI OBP 328 SLG 451 OPS 779 - 161 Games Age 27
2016 Avg 278 HR 30 93 RBI OBP 359 SLG 499 OPS 883 - 158 Games Age 28
So if you look at the stats I provided D.Wright was more productive in 9 of the 12 offensive categories i have above - and not a huge difference in age - So I think Seagers deal should be less that what Wright signed for - I am thinking Wright off those stats should be worth 15% more than Seager so I am offering - $8,500,000(2021)
* please notice on HR and RBI numbers in 2013 Wright played in only 112 games where Seager played in 158 in 2015 -
