There aren't a lot of 2B comps yet, but since Altuve is one of the top 2B in the league I used Cano as a comp. Kinsler and Phillips might be in there too depending what year they were re-signed, but that was before the new rule and no record on here so I'm not exactly sure. All the other 2B aren't at Altuve's level and are ranging around $5-8M it seemed like. So Cano looks like the only real comp available. Going off Cano's 3 year $11M deal, I upped it to $12M because Altuve is younger when re-signing and has a higher BA in two years so far, about the same as Cano the rest. I believe the rest their numbers kind of balance each other out too. Altuve has more steals but less power. Less RBI, but more Runs for Altuve as well. In summary, I believe Altuve's average is higher and along with his younger age I believe it earns him a bit more valuable contract.
