Deny, I place Belt between Freemon and Moreland and would expect a salary to reflect the same.

Overall, I think the Freeman resign is too high. I think it should be closer to 8-8.5MM, so I don't necessarily want to throw Belt up against that. However, Belt is worth more than .75M than Moreland. I would be looking for something around the 7-7.5M range.

I'm mostly in agreeance with the the two denials above. Belt is close to Moreland stats when he re-signed I think, at leats in HR/RBI, but that was Moreland's only decent year really. His avg, obp, and runs are all lower than Belt's. And he didn't have a history of consistency that Belt has. Moreland was also older and signed to 5 years which probably got him a bit of a discount. So I think Belt should get a little more than this offer as well.
