Belt at this point is sort of what he is a solid but not great fantasy 1B. Fantrax Proj .268/.837 76 R 18 HR 78 RBI 2 SB.

Denied, I still see Belt better than Moreland based on avg and consistency. If Freemon is setting to high a standard then I will use Homer as my top guide, he was signed at 8.25M. I do not see how Hosmer can be almost 2M dollars better. I still think Belt is between 7 & 7.5M for a contract.

A hard one to figure. Fantrax projects Freeman at #6 for us, Hosmer at #11, and Belt at #18. Which after giving it some thought, how valuable is the #18 1B in a 28 team league?

I'm still going to deny this. I think he should be in the $7-7.5M range. Its minor, I just think $6.5 is too low. Hosmer is a decent comp. They both win a few categories, Hosmer showed a little more power in one year, and generally has more RBI. But Runs/Avg are pretty even and Belt wins OBP. And Hosmer got a 5 year deal instead of 4. I'm not looking for Hosmer money exactly, but AAV between where you're at and what Hosmer got seems right to me especially if only going 4 years instead of Hosmer's 5.

I'm confused how Kipnis is the #8 ranked second basemen being approved for $6.5M....yet Belt is being denied at $6.5M and he's the #18th ranked 1B. 2B is generally considered more of a premium position.
Not only that...but Kipnis beats him in 5 out of our 6 categories straight up.
Very confused

For the record, I would have voted a denied on Kipnis as well. Doesn't look like it would have mattered. But I agree with you that Kipnis was too low just as I believe Belt is too low. 2B is much harder to fill, and how he didn't get at least Dee Gordon money seems silly.
That said, that's why we have a voting process, hopefully explains their votes and reasoning. It's not a perfect process, but I still think that most contracts do get sorted out to at least close to where they should be and at significant discounts to what they would get in FA in almost all cases.

Your point on Kipnis is fair. I think the valuation on Kipnis is tough due to his year last year compared to the 2 years before it. I know I asked for $7M earlier, but I am good with $6.5M with the extra year.
