Rays Send: C Buster Posey 12,000,000(2018) Resign 1B Logan Morrison 3,500,000(2019) CF Lorenzo Cain 9,000,000(2020) Resign SP Kendall Graveman 300,000(2020) SP Logan Shore 3B Ke'Bryan Hayes
Mariners send: RF Yasiel Puig 7,000,000(2020) Resign CF Jackie Bradley, Jr. 300,000(2019) C Francisco Cervelli 6,000,000(2019) SP David Price 11,500,000(2019) Resign 3rd Rd FYPD 2018
Rays accept. Mariners will tell you I've been after Puig for a while. I really think he will bounce back this year. I'm also a big fan of Bradley in the OF. Cervelli is a big downgrade at C, but the more I reviewed my roster the more I realized that C isn't a spot where I want to spend so much money and use up a Resign. Plus, I'm very excited to bring back Price who I think has very high value with his Ks. Although I'll be honest that I may try to move Price again for a younger pitcher and some restock guys for my system or a solid 2B.
Thanks Mariners.

Seattle accepts -
This is a move for me getting a couple of younger arms - Posey the resign comes off in 2018 so frees me up earlier there to make a move, and maybe I can spin Posey and Cain off to get younger pieces and prospects - I am a fan of Logan Shore, Graveman will be a solid starter for Oakland projected #2 in rotation won't get the k's that Price did - but a lot younger with a more controlled contract - Hayes gives me another good prospect - I feel the MLB numbers besides what Price brings to the table will pretty much be a wash in the deal - Puig has the biggest chance for a break out in my opinion for this year but who knows he could be a head case again - This was about getting younger and looking to the future - with Graveman, Hayes, Shore - and getting serviceable pieces back at 1st, CF, and C. The pieces I got back I feel I can move them in future trades to get more pieces for the future -
How they were acquired Francisco Cervelli acquired in trade with Dodgers 6/29/2016 Jackie Bradley acquired in trade with White Sox 1/28/2016 David Price acquired in trade with Tampa 2/15/2016 Yasiel Puig - not sure how Seattle acquired was done by previous owner couldnt find in threads but I have had him on team since i got it
