This year alone, I see two other primer 3B re-signed, in addition to Longoria.
First off, Kyle Seager received 5 years @ $8,500,000. Next, Justin Turner received 3 years @ $8,500,000 (with many TAB members saying his true value was closer to $8,000,000). Here's how Longoria, Seager and Turner compare in the last 2 years
Longoria 2016- BA/OBP/OPS: .273/.318/.840 HR: 38 RBI: 98 SB: 0 Age 30 2015- BA/OBP/OPS: .270/.328/.764 HR: 21 RBI: 73 SB: 3 Age 29
Seager 2016- BA/OBP/OPS: .278/.359/.859 HR: 30 RBI: 90 SB: 3 Age 28 2015- BA/OBP/OPS: .266/.328/.779 HR: 26 RBI: 74 SB: 6 Age 27
Turner 2016- BA/OBP/OPS: .275/.339/.832 HR: 27 RBI: 90 SB: 4 Age 31 2015- BA/OBP/OPS: .294/.370/.861 HR: 16 RBI: 60 SB: 5 Age 30
Looking at their performances at ages, I believe Longoria deserves something between what Seager and Turner received. Thus, I will offer Evan Longoria a contract at 4 years @ 8,000,000

Seems about right given the age differences. Seager is almost an exact comparison, but got 5 years because he's younger. I won't nitpick over a $500k AAV difference since this deal takes Longoria to age 35.
