Previous salary $12,000,000
New Offer
4 years 7.5 mil.
If Wright is worth 10 and Sandoval 6.5 and Headley 6, I think Zimmerman is worth around 7.5. He has also hinted that he may be moved off 3rd base sooner than later which would severely limit his value.

Approval 1 (1-2)
Based upon other contracts, injury history and age I think this is about right. Definitely at the very bottom of what I am looking for but it is within reason.

Agree with the others who denied. The only time Zimmerman has not hit 25+ was 2006 (first full year still hit 20), 2008 (only played in 106 gm) and 2011 (only playd in 101 games). So basically if he has been healthy he has been good for 25+ HRs 80+ RBI.
Denied #3 (1-3)

Is it just me or does Rockies not make my point? He has missed significant time in 3 of his 7 seasons. Is now approaching 30 and is going to move to 1st.

If you dont think 25+ 80+ is worth $8.5 Mil then don't re-sign him and watch him get that or more in free agency.
And he remains a 3B b/c Adam LaRoche is the 1B in Was.
And he has played 8 full-years and been healthy for 6 of them.
