Mariners trade:
Buster Posey 12,000,000(2018) Resign

White Sox trade:
Jon Lester (CHC - SP).....$10,500,000 (2018) [Re-sign]
Stephen Vogt (OAK - C).....$300,000 (2018)
Jason Castro (MIN - C).....$1,000,000 (2019)

White Sox accept. The search for a catcher upgrade ended quickly! He may not be the top catcher any more, but he's still a good upgrade over my guys. I have a full rotation and a couple more SP getting called up or coming off the DL soon, so I should be able to replace Lester. The salaries and re-sign tags pretty much offset each other as well making this pretty much a straight swap for team needs. Thanks for the smooth negotiations! Mariners to confirm.

Mariners agree -

I am getting a top of the line rotation guy - and giving up one of the best catchers in baseball - so i feel it is pretty much a wash getting Vogt and Castro back so I have some production at Catcher

if the trade is approved I will use WP #1 on SP Jose Berrios $300,000 (2021) to make a roster spot so i can accept the incoming players
