TB sends: SP Joe Ross 300,000(2020) 3B Yunel Escobar 3,500,000(2018) RP Enny Romero 300,000(2021)
CLE sends: SP Wade Miley 300,000(2017) RP Hector Rondon 300,000(2018) P Skylar Arias
Rays accept. Still think Ross could be a solid pitcher, but not a big K guy and lacks top of rotation stuff. Escobar is having a huge start, but just acquired Castellanos and Martinez is returning from DL to fill my DH spot. Miley is having a great year, and I need some SP depth with the Ross demotion. Rondon will help my pen with Britton on the DL.

Indians accept, thanks for the discussion
I have a hole in my lineup that Escobar will fit nicely into, and I have a lot of SP. Miley has probably been my 2nd most consistent guy but I wasn't planning on resigning him so I'm glad to get someone with a longer contract for him.

As Rays said, Joe Ross is a low ceiling pitcher. While he's looked solid in the past, he's dealt with some struggle as of late. I'll rate him as a B/B- guy. Escobar is having a solid season, but isn't a difference maker by any means. He is pretty cheap, so I'll give him a C+. Enny Romero has had plenty of opportunities that he has failed to seize. He has some potential, but doesn't look like he'll be anything more than another "guy." I'll also rate him as a C+. On the other side, Rays is probably getting more reliable, if less interesting pitchers. First off, I'm amazed Wade Miley still has a rookie contract, especially on the wrong side of 30. He's a pretty prototypical #4-5 starter who has all of sudden racked up more stirkeouts this year, while also walking more. I guess he's a B-/C+? Hector Rondon has been a very reliable reliever who should be a good source of holds. I may be high on him, but I feel like a B-/B is reasonable. Finally, we get an actual prospect in Skylar Arias. I don't see anything too special about him, so I guess I'll just consider him as any old C. So, this trade is a B/B- and 2 C+'s for a B-/B, B-/C+ and a C. It seems to be slightly balanced in the Indians favor, but I can also see an argument to bump up a few guys the Rays are getting. Even so, the value is pretty close, so it's good in my eyes

Good analysis! I'd agree on all points. Team need played a big role here. I needed to bolster my pen with Britton out for a while and Escobar was going to be on my bench with JD taking the UT spot from him. So his value to me was diminished. And Miley will help cover for Ross and Kennedy.
Arias is a wildcard. Had 20K in 19ip with just 3 walks, but then got suspended for steroids lol. But I like his upside more than most C guys. But he could easily bust too. And I'm tired of waiting on Romero! Lol

Yeah, team need is definitely one factor I considered, and can easily counteract any value imbalance
