Padres trade:
SS Tim Beckham $300,000 (2020)

Angels trade:
SP Brandon McCarthy $1,000,000 (2020)

Padres accept. Tim Beckham is finally displaying some of the talent that got him drafted first overall ahead of guys like Eric Hosmer and Buster Posey. Yet, I desperately needed a SP all while having way too many bats on my team, so I looked to exchange some of my talent to fill my team needs. At the same time, I am a little skeptical that Beckham will keep up his current pace as he hasn't shown much talent since 2008 and while McCarthy is a big injury risk, he has looked healthy and reliable so far this year all while putting up solid numbers

Rangers GM (Pete): I didn't think of it until now, maybe a shorter resign should cost more annually since the commitment and risk is less. Which is usually true in real life. Just a thought to consider next time we review rules. Feb 5, 2023 12:43:38 GMT -6
