Brewers Send:
Lonnie Chisenhall (CLE-RF) $3,000,000 (2019)
Braves Send:
Jason Heyward (CHC) RF $8,250,000 (2020) (Resign)
Braves accept. This gets me out from under a Resign tag and saves a little bit of cash. After I have been acquiring OF's this year I thought it was best to try to move Heyward as to not have all my Resign spots filled with OF's.

Can still see Chris Smith on your roster and not Kyle Gibson. These are from your trade on Aug 19th themajorsleague.freeforums.net/thread/3336/dodgers-braves-approved-3

Approval #1
I actually hate this trade for 3 reasons. #1 is Heyward's production the past couple of years leave a lot to be desired. #2 is his hefty contract. #3 is that he is a re-signed player taking up a valuable spot. However, The Brewers are definitely in the pennant chase here (currently leading the NL Central) but has both the Reds and Cardinals within striking distance. Also important is that Heyward is RF eligible and currently the Brewers have no active player at all to slot into that position. Any production at all from Heyward would be a plus. True, a lot to take on with that contract but these pennant chases don't necessarily come around every year.

Man, I can understand needing a RF for a playoff push, but this just seems so unbalanced. For one thing, I would vastly prefer Chisenhall, independent of any contract situation. Heyward has offered very little in fantasy and looks like he's a replacement level player at best in fantasy terms, especially with a hitting line of .241/.601 BA/OPS in the past 30 days. Add the fact that he's getting paid $8,250,000 over the next 4 years, and has a re-sign tag plastered to him, you have one ugly player to deal with. While Brewers probably has resign tags to spare, it's still very risky to be needing to carry Heyward for the next 4 years. Regardless of all that, I would accept it because Brewers seems like he's in a desperate situation, but Chisenhall is reported to be returning next week, so the Brewers aren't as desperate as they should be
Vetoed 1-1

Approval #2.
This one is tough, Heyward's contract is terrible if he doesn't learn to hit again at some point. But he definitely has a more consistent role and has shown ability in the past. I wouldn't want to take on that contract, but Chisenhall hasn't really had a full season of ABs ever, so it's not a lot to give up on the hope that Heyward rebounds at some point.
