Rangers would like to resign Daniel Murphy to a 3 year contract.
Fantrax Scores: 2015 49 2016 84 2017 82 2017 (twice) 82
Total = 297 Divided by 4 = 74.25
$14,000,000 * 74.25% = $10,395,000 Rounds up to $10,400,000
Please check my math and that I got the annual scores correct. Not complaining about the new rule because I do like it, just saying this seems a little high to me for Murphy after looking at comps from last year, Dee Gordon ($7.0), Evan Longoria ($8.0), Justin Turner ($8.5). Although, kind of funny, I went and did the math on Longoria and this year his would come out to $7.2. Maybe Murphy is just better than I think?
The difference of a couple of million is better than what I would have to pay on the free agent market, I need a 2B and don't have a foreseeable need for the resign slot in the next couple of years; so I will go with it.
Thanks Pete

Your math is also correct and you now have 4 of 4 resigns.
