White Sox trade: Tyler Saladino (MIL - 2B/3B).....$300,000 (2020) Andrew Susac (BAL - C) $300,000 (2020)
Red Sox trade: SP Tyler Skaggs - $300,000 (2018)
Soxes strike another deal. We weren't able to work this part out before we'd agreed on the value of Villanueva, but we've agreed on this. For the White Sox, Skaggs is likely going to be a one year rental. He hasn't been able to stay healthy ever so would be a super risky re-sign. But Saladino and Susac seem to be stuck in AAAA status, playing well in AAA and struggling to find a role in the MLB. So I'm ok giving up the depth in order to improve my rotation for this year.

Considering no votes have been made it could have just been combined with the other trade.

Saladino CWS property from start-drafted 7th rd 2010 draft Susac acquired via trade from ATL on 2/3/18
Skaggs acquired via trade with TEX on 2/14/17
Players check out.
Skaggs is 26 and a former 1st rd pick. He has been making progress and finally appears to have some stuff together. Saladino is a former 7th rd pick. He's 28 and still spending time in the minors. I don't see any real prospects that he will be useful. Susac is a 28 year old C. Also in the minors and hasn't ever done anything when he has had chances.
I am going to deny this trade. I just feel the best asset is going to CWS and Boston isn't getting anything of any value in return. Even if Skaggs were putting up last years stats I would probably still deny just based on skill level and potential. I just would like to see something of value going to Boston if they are dealing a SP that quite frankly, could be just entering his prime.
Deny (0-1)

Approve #1, I agree Boston could have gotten more but this is not a league threatening trade.

I would like to hear why Red Sox thinks this is a good deal for him just so I have more than Red Sox Accept.

Approval #2.
I don't see this ruining the integrity of the league or collusion being involved. I do think Boston could have got a better return for Skaggs, but I doubt he was a resign candidate and he is getting an additional 4 contract years.

Like others maybe Red Sox COULD have gotten more but Susac while he is already 28 could still prove to be a useful piece potentially.
And while Skaggs is still young he is a career 4.61 era not sure I see him as a "re-sign" guy unless you just lack of legitament options.
