Orioles accept. At this stage, I am trying to add as many draft picks as possible as I build towards contention a couple years down the road. Markakis hitting well this season doesn't help me out that much as I won't be making the playoffs. It's hard to trade Encarnacion as he's a stud, but getting a chance to add a few more decent prospects for my next real chance of winning a championship made this deal well worth it. Carpenter and Cargo are included to make the cap work for both sides of this transaction.
