SP Jonathan Stiever (CHW) - prospect [spelling corrected]

32 yr old relievers will probably not factor in on my next contending team so Drake is a player I planned on moving. Stiever is a solid back of the rotation spec at this point and his stuff has played up a bit lately and he could turn into something really fun.

Drake played for FIVE different teams in 2018 but it’s his 6th team in two seasons that really unlocked his potential. He’s not going to repeat that .225 BABIP from last year. But he’s also probably not repeating the 22% HR/FB rate either. The Rays are miracle workers when it comes to wringing results out of cheap talent. They drastically changed his pitch mix and the results were outstanding. And Drake is only getting $1m to go try to repeat his 32% K rate from last year.

Giving up a fast rising pitching spec in Stiever is worth it for me to take a shot on Drake in my bullpen this year.

Yet another easy trade, James. Good luck with Stiever.
