Brewers Trade:Kyle Schwarber $300,000 (2020) Yankees Trade:Beau Burrows (spec) Rationale:I still feel like I'm a few years out and have no plans to resign Schwarber. I have a slog of Platoon OF and even though Schwarber seems like the best of the bunch there's no real reason for him to be on my squad this year. Getting someone close to the majors with Starter upside but worst case scenario should be able to pitch late innings somewhere. Also gonna be on a terrible team this year so there's no reason opportunity won't be there. How they were Acquired:Burrows was a 2015 FYPD pick here by the Yankees themajorsleague.freeforums.net/thread/838/2015-fypd-draft-completedSchwarber was a 2014 FYPD pick here by the Brewers themajorsleague.freeforums.net/thread/326/2014-fypd-draft-completed

I honestly don't get this deal to be honest. I find it hard to believe that is the best deal you could get for Schwarber and his re-sign rights.
This seems pretty light Burrows is the #17 prospect in Det system behind A LOT of other arms (Manning, Mize, Skubal, Faedo, Wentz, Franklin Perez, Lange, Hess).

I have to agree, are you sure this is all you want for Schwarber?

Been shopping him for three years. No one seems to want him. It's not all I want, but no one else seems to have any interest at all in him. If you deem it viable to veto then I understand. I'm more than happy to continue shopping him if you feel the value isn't right.

I can't justify this trade. Brewers has plenty of open re-sign spots (2 currently) and will have all 4 after Heyward & Marwin expire (or are traded) after this year.
Schwarber is a middle of order bat that should command more than a guy who is a teams #17 Spec (and #9 pitcher).
Veto #1

Veto 2.
I almost never veto, but this seems off. I’m not a huge Schwarber fan, but his production is at least worth a future pick or a few prospects. Burrows plus some guys or something. Burrows seems like a long shot to even make mlb.

I can't justify this trade. Brewers has plenty of open re-sign spots (3 currently) and will have all 5 after Heyward & Marwin expire (or is traded) after this year. Schwarber is a middle of order bat that should command more than a guy who is a teams #17 Spec (and #9 pitcher). Veto #15? Isn't this league 4?

I have to agree with the rationalization above. While I'm not super high on Schwarber, I think that with his power numbers, he should go for more than a 40 FV prospect given his age and the cheapness of his re-sign.
Veto #3
