Saw the new rule posted in the rules section. I had a question, and I am fine with whatever is decided, just want us all to be clear. Here is the rule as stated:
We are going to use a AB/IP Minimum for 2020. Those numbers will be 50 AB/10 IP PER WEEK. If you do not meet either min in a week you will be given a loss for the categories you failed to meet the mins for whether its AVG/OPS or ERA/WHIP that would be 2 offensive categories or 2 pitching categories or if you miss both mins 4 categories plus issued a penalty as well.
Penalty:
-Step 1: Warning provided via PM.
-Step 2: Warning provided via PM.
-Step 3: Loss of 1st Rd pick
-Step 4: Loss of 2nd Rd pick
-Step 5: Loss of 3rd Rd pick
Draft Pick lost will team's next untraded 1st (or 2nd/3rd) pick that is lost in the following draft unless already traded then we would go to the next draft and forfeit that years pick.
2010: Won NL West; Won World Series
So if a team does not meet the minimums, they get a loss for the week, which I guess in theory helps with the tank. I like the loss of draft picks. but are these steps outlined going to be bases solely on a team not meeting the min? So if a team hits the mins, but decides to sit all their all stars, are they good or will this practice be checked/policed and penalties issued? Guess I am trying to avoid people still blatantly trying to lose will meeting the minimums by playing scrubs or only fielding a couple of players and sitting the rest.
Not trying to stir the hornets nest here, just want clarification. Whenever there is a loophole, someone is going to try to find it. Thanks
Pete
