Guardians Trade
LF/RF - Randy Arozarena $300,000 (2026)
RF - Giancarlo Stanton - $5,700,000 (2023) RESIGN
Dodgers Trade
RF/CF/LF - Seiya Suzuki $10,000,000 (2025)
SS - Kyle Farmer $300,000 (2024)
C - Diego Cartaya - prospect
The Why -
I barely squeezed in to the playoffs last year and was hoping i could get there this year with some of the offseason additions and pitching, but unfortunately I have had like most a rash of injuries to key pieces. So, I dont like my chance of getting back in playoffs but not completely giving up. I haven't had a SS for a while Farmer last year and this year has had good seasons i am picking up stats in a position i have been getting 0 out of, Suzuki was also having a good season before injury so he will give me some stats in OF to help replace some that I have lost. OF is only position that I have had some depth so I will be able to field a complete OF where not as strong as it was, i feel adding a SS and an OF and with what I have on my roster i will be as competitive as what i have been this year. Cartaya was the piece i was after when a player is described as " sonic-boom-level hit-tool with, at-minimum, plus-power " and at C position but will probably be DH mostly I couldnt pass up on him.
