Red Sox send: Alex Kirilloff Nick Allen
Halos send: Monte Harrison 2017 Dispersal pick
Halos accept
Sending away a potential power speed OF that seems to be putting everything together. Getting a high upside injury recovery is exciting and I really wanted Allen in the last draft. Good luck to the Red Sox.

Prospect for prospect are always interesting, but with a new GM for the Red Sox, I can understand him wanting to obtain players that are more his flavor. With that, I will start with the players he obtained
I am not personally a huge fan of Monte Harrison. I saw him in the AFL and he didn't particularly impress me, but many others like him, which is ultimately more important than the few games I saw him. He has a very intriguing power/speed combination, which definitely makes him attractive. Like many other power/speed guys, his hit tool needs to improve and until this year, looked quite substandard. Currently, I would consider him to B/B-, but he can easily rise to a B+ with a good start to 2018. The dispersal is what it is, around C value. On the other end, the Angels receive Alex Kirilloff, a high draft pick in 2016 who was out all of 2017 due to Tommy John Surgery. I do like him quite a lot, and he's someone I want to keep a close eye in 2018. I think his value is pretty close to Harrison's, though his tools aren't as flashy as Harrison's, so he doesn't have the potential to rocket up prospect lists like Harrison does. I would give him B-/B value, but if he proves to be healthy, I can see him being a B+/B. Finally, Nick Allen is more well-known for his glove, rather than his potential offensive contributions, which showed in his debut season. I'd say his value is C/C+. Looking at how the grades line up, this looks like a pretty even trade that's basically a transfer of risk
